Hashcore Genetics Tester Program Terms
Version 1.0 · Last updated October 11, 2026
Who can apply
The Hashcore tester program puts unreleased genetics in the hands of experienced home growers before public release. Testers grow them out, report what they find, and help decide which lines are ready.
To be accepted, you must:
- Be 21 or older.
- Live where home cultivation is legal.
- Have completed at least 2–3 runs, shown through links to past grow work.
- Agree to these terms in full.
Growers who wash or press are preferred, since hash performance is central to how Hashcore evaluates its lines. Each cohort is capped at 5–8 testers per strain, and every application is reviewed by hand.
What you receive and what you commit to
The exchange is simple: free genetics for honest data.
You receive one pack of an unreleased Hashcore strain at no cost, with shipping paid by Hashcore. No purchase is required and no payment is accepted.
You commit to running at least 5 seeds from the pack and reporting on schedule:
| Report | When | What to include |
|---|---|---|
| Germination check-in | About day 7 | Seeds started, seeds germinated |
| Mid-flower check-in | About halfway through flower | Plant count, early observations, photos |
| Final flower report | Within 30 days of harvest | Flower time, phenotype notes, keepers, yield, photos |
| Hash report (if you wash or press) | Within 60 days of harvest | Wash return by micron grade, rosin return |
A HelixLog Run Report is the preferred format. Photos plus the report form are also accepted. Honest results matter more than good ones: a weak phenotype is useful data.
Rights and responsibilities
These terms protect both the tester’s work and Hashcore’s genetics.
Your plants are yours. Everything you grow from tester genetics is yours to keep for personal use.
The genetics stay with Hashcore. You may not sell, trade, give away, or distribute tester seeds, clones, or cuts, and you may not use them in any breeding project, without Hashcore’s written permission. This applies before and after public release.
Publishing and credit. Hashcore may publish your reported data and photos on its website and channels, credited to the handle you choose. Nothing is published under your legal name, and photos are published without location data.
Pre-release secrecy. You are welcome to post about your grow, but do not name the strain publicly until Hashcore releases it.
Missed deadlines. Testers who miss report deadlines without contacting Hashcore will not receive future allocations. If something goes wrong mid-run, such as pests, a crop failure, or a life event, tell us; a failed run reported honestly still counts.
Privacy, legal, and agreement
Hashcore collects only what the program needs.
Your information. Applications ask for a handle, an email, and your grow history, never your legal name or address. If you’re accepted, a shipping address is requested privately, used only to ship your pack, and deleted afterward. Rejected applications are deleted within 60 days.
Legal. Tester genetics are provided at no cost; nothing is sold. You are responsible for knowing and following the laws where you live. Hashcore does not encourage cultivation where it is illegal, and participation is void where prohibited.
Changes. Hashcore may update these terms for future cohorts. Your current run follows the terms you agreed to when accepted.
Agreement. Applying and accepting a tester pack means you agree to these terms.
